Happy New Year 2012!! 12/31/2011

I wish everyone a very Happy New Year and that all your wishes come true!  I have the deepest gratitude for this past year.  It has been so amazing in every aspect in my life.  I share Fader Vixen's rendition of "Oh Holy Night" to close out 2011 and this holiday season.

Finishing up the year: 2011 12/18/2011

I haven't posted here since 'Continental Shelf'.  I felt like leaving that video up here for a bit.  Since introducing Fader Vixen's video, it has reached 4200 plays on YouTube!  Hopefully it keeps growing.
I'm tidying up and organizing for the new year.  Recently I realized that 2012 will be the Year of the Dragon which is my Chinese astrological sign!  The last time the Dragon came around was in 2000.  I remember life being a whirlwind of changes and excitement.  I look forward to 2012 being the same way.

I love this song we made.  I want to share it with you all.  It has a significant meaning to us (Fader Vixen).  It's about our good friend who lost his mother this year...

Happy Chinese New Year! 01/23/2011

Here are some photos from my Chinese New Year theme performance during the recent Blast Off Burlesque's 'Holidazed and Confused' show (January 14th and 15th).  I made and pieced my costume together from different sources.  It took me a lot longer to design than I had predicted.  Especially the finale dress piece!

The wonderful Lion Dancers are from the Chien Hong School of Kung Fu.  I thank Yolanda Campbell for her instructing me on the Chinese Sleeve dance form.  And special thanks to my sister, Rizzie for helping to sew my new silk sleeves.
