The Amazing Zep! 02/24/2010

I worked on this video made by Lobster Man Productions and Rational Spirit.  I feel it set some groundwork that ultimately led us to our collaboration on The Fabric's recent music video production.
Shawn McConathy and I threw some quick choreography together right on the spot.

I am inspired to do more.  Makes me feel so alive to paint.

Fader Vixen does their first show at City Skies/Karvana 8pm (EST).  You'll be able to stream in live from www.stillstream.com!

I also will have a painting in The Femme Fatale show at WonderRoot.  I'm not big on holidays and such, but it sure feels good to be sharing the things I love to do (music and art) for Valentine's!

We are now set to begin shooting the 'Tragedy' music video for The Fabric in a couple of weeks.  I will be director of this project from start to finish.  My aim has been to make this more of a short film.  This should be completed by mid-March when The Fabric officially releases their next CD.  Sometimes I ask myself how did I get to this point and be so fortunate to work with this incredible cast and crew!  It's all moving pretty smoothly.
Also come Spring, I plan to visit my dance teacher and have her review some new choreography I've been envisioning.  My plans are to submit a brand new dance piece into the ABS Festival in June.  I hope it goes well.  Cross your fingers!

I had no idea this Youtube video was out there.  This is from Jsin's Geisha party birthday bash last year.  Thanks to my dance teacher, Yolanda Campbell for the link!
You can see a little of my Chinese sleeve dance at 2:15 seconds into the video.

There is a huge festival going on!  Go to link below for more details on how to support this wonderful landmark!!

New Year's Eve started with a big bang at the Gold Room.  Members of Blast-Off Burlesque mixing performance art, aerial and candle dancing into the celebrating crowd.  My gal pal Melanie Magnifique and I got painted metallic gold!  So much fun and magical it was.

Check out pics from Creative Loafing's 2010 Fiction Contest from January 6!  Melanie, Mysteria and myself represented for Blast-Off.

Blast-Off just returned yesterday from doing 2 sold out shows at the North Carolina Stage Company in Asheville, NC.  We braved snow and icy roads traveling out of Atlanta.  Glad we made it!  We even went through the weekend without running water at the cabin which we were staying!  We put on our camping attitude for sure.

So I sit here looking what is next.  I am working on the new Fader Vixen website.  Right now the site is linked to a temporary blog.  I'm also getting a little bit nervous but very excited about our first show in February! Here is the flyer...
